Thank you for stopping by my blog today. It has been too long since I’ve created and shared with my fellow hoppers and shared here. With the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors soon to launch in May, I thought this was the perfect time for me to jump back in and share my creations with you.
This blog hop is all about the outgoing 2022-2024 In Colors. These colors are beautiful and I’m sorry to see them go but look forward to creating with the new In Colors soon.
I kept that thought in mind when I decided to create a card using the “Playing in the Rain” stamp set and coordinating dies along with the small cloud from the Bright Skies bundle. This card depicts the gloom of saying goodbye but also the happiness ahead.
The stitched arrow was created using the Stylish Dies. I cut using the larger banner die and then sent it back through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine by placing one of the end pieces to create the arrow.
The card base is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Thick Basic White cardstock layered with 2″ x 5-1/4″ Orchid Oasis cardstock and 4″ x 5-1/4″ Starry Sky 6″ X 6″ Designer Series Paper. I didn’t intend to use the Thick Basic White when I stamped the fox and die cut it but I like how it turned out. I colored the image using Stampin’ Blends. I love how easily they color images.
I made the stitched arrow using the larger banner die and one of the ends of that die. The die was easy to line up to the embossed stitching of the cut out banner and then cut one end again to create the pointed part of the arrow. In the photo below you can see how I did this. When I cut the pointed end, it was after the banner was cut out of the cardstock.
Funny enough, I ended up creating a tiny bow or hourglass, depending on how you see this image in your creative eyes.
Below, after the “Next Blog” photo that links to the list of participating Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, you will find the clickable thumbnails for the supplies I used to create this card.
Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I would be happy to answer any questions about products or the techniques shown here. If you don’t already have a demonstrator, you can use the below thumbnail list or this link to order products from me.
