Did you know that Bundles of stamps and punches or dies are available at a 10% discount? Here’s an important tip! If you love the coordination of stamps and tools then don’t miss saving 10%, because all bundles in the current Mini catalogs will retire and take the 10% savings with them. Some of the stamps, dies, and punches will still be available in future catalogs, but not as bundles, so the 10% savings ends. Card Sketch Challenge – Birthday Themed

I am happy to be joining the “Stamping with Friends” design team and this, my first hop with the team.

Today we are focusing on birthday cards created based on a sketch. I recently participated in a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator swap and this is the sketch I used to create my swap which is a birthday card. I used this sketch from the many available through Mojo Monday. I prefer the sketches that include measurements like this one because it saves me time.

In my card below, I improvised slightly in that I did not use a 3.5″ x 2.5″ piece. I decided to use the “In the Wild” suite collection and used a stamped die-cut tiger instead. I die cut the tiger using Crushed Curry card stock. The Stamparatus helped to ensure I had the images lined up on the tiger correctly for each of the 11 identical cards I created. It took about a minute to figure out where to place the stripes for the body. He is applied to the embossed strip using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I enjoyed assembling this card and frankly, it was one of the quickest swaps I ever created. I already had several of the Thick Very Vanilla 4.25″ x 5.25″ pieces cut from a prior project. All I had to do was take a 3.5″ strip of Wild Designer Series Paper (DSP) and cut it in 2″ strips paying attention to the DSP design since it is directional. I cut 5 strips of Cajun Craze and embossed all of them at the same time by running the embossing folder through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.

To continue along this hop, click on the next image to see the next designer’s creation. After the list of designers, you will find the supply list for this card. I hope this card shows you how this suite can create beautiful cards. I was not a fan at first but it has grown on me and is now one of my favorites. Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrtor if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I am happy to answer any questions about products or this card shown here. A Good Man

Welcome to the Masculine Themed Blog Hop – a collection of ideas from Stampin’ Up! demonstrators featuring masculine themed creations. With June approaching and the Father’s Day observance approaching, a group of fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and I decided this is a perfect time to do a masculine themed blog hop to showcase our creative ideas geared towards men. We hope you like what you see and feel inspired to create a few masculine cards for giving as needed.

My card uses A Good Man cling stamp set and is an idea for Father’s Day. I incorporated the new Give It A Whirl dies found on pages 57 and 163 of the new annual catalog. It is so easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention. I love interactive cards so this is a must have for me. It includes several different windows to create for your wheel window cards.

I used two thick Very Vanilla cardstock for the wheel since it will be used often for turning the wheel. Using multipurpose liquid glue, I also layered the In the Wild” Designer Series Paper over a thick Very Vanilla cardstock used for the window to make it more sturdy as well. The wheel mechanism is held together by a black brad and I used one of the window excess pieces to adhere to the A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) folded Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Seal. I pierced a hole through the extra window piece with the Take Your Pick Tool. Adding the extra piece between the wheel and the Cajun Craze cardstock allows the wheel to move much easier. I adhered the entire front panel to the Cajun Craze cardstock with Stampin’ Seal but you could also use foam strips or Stampin’ Dimenstionals.

Once assembled, I added one of the directional arrows from the dies to indicate which way to turn the wheel so the words are read in order as intended. The arrow is such a tiny piece. I used basic black cardstock, adhesive sheets, and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to cut the die. This made it make it easier to place on the card. I mounted the stamped gentleman on black cardstock with Stampin’ Seal and placed in front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For his skin color, I used the Bronze Stampin’ Blends marker. The inside sentiment comes from the Handsomely Suited cling stamp set. I have listed all the blends used on this card below along with all other supplies.

I sure hope this card is fun for the person receiving it. Below is the list of all the supplies I used to create this Father’s Day card. Included is the Well Suited Designer Series Paper used as our blog hop logo. This paper is featured in the current January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and will retire with the catalog at midnight mountain time on June 30, 2021. After the list of the other demonstrators participating in this blog hop, you will find the list of supplies.

I am happy you stopped by! It has been sometime since I have posted on my blog so I appreciate you being here. To continue to be inspired whether you’ve come from the person before me or after, Tashana along with all contributors will help you along as you visit each of our blogs to be motivated to create. Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I would be happy to answer any questions about products or the techniques shown here. Celebrating an Anniversary

Yesterday, 18 years ago, I joined Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. Took a break and rejoined in July 2020. Time is recalculated per Stampin’ Up!, but not with me. Happy Anniversary to me! I have met so many people along the way, made some accomplishments through the company, and have traveled to places I probably wouldn’t have visited including Salt Lake City. I love to travel so that was good with me!

It just so happens that Stampin’ Up! has a join promotion going on right now but that offer ends on Monday, May 31, 2021 If you have considered purchasing the starter kit or becoming a demonstrator, whether to take advantage of the discounts and perks demonstrators get on a continual bases or to start a business, do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have before taking the leap. You can be a happy shopper and be a demonstrator. No “work” is required. I joined as a happy shopper 18 years ago and as unsure as I was, I made the jump and have not regretted one moment of that decision. You can join through me at this link or contact me. Have a wonderful day!

Blended Seasons Blog Hop

38878215_10211822505308812_2812741586427838464_nI’m happy to be participating in this blog hop.  When I saw this bundle, the first thing that came to me was bag toppers!  We have new dies to create bag toppers AND we can do them in at least three different sizes!!!  With that in mind, I concentrated on creating a couple bag toppers for this hop.

FullSizeRender(2)

This topper is for tea lights.  Very simple to make.  This doesn’t require the heat gun.  It’s meant for presentation only.  A quick easy gift to create and give.  I used the Simply Scored board to score down the middle.  The die fits flushed to the left of the board so I could score it with a straight line down the middle of the cut shape.

If you decided to recreate a gift like this, it is important to include a note on how to use the candles safely.  Here I included a note in the bag on the back side where it can clearly be seen.

Another bag topper I made uses Stampin’ Up!’s clear envelopes.  The die fits perfectly on top when it is scored to fold.  I placed one of the spools from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack inside to demonstrate how using this topper and envelope would make a nice presentation.
